Angie's Restaurant was founded by Angie Chaconas and her husband, Gus, more than 50 years ago. Since that time it's become a Downtown Clearwater destination and favorite spot of the locals for hearty all day breakfast and lunch.
Angie's is now owned and run by the Chaconas' son, Louis Chaconas, who's been carrying on the tradition and serving up some truly tasty meals in the process.
The Tampa Bay Times Says... "Chaconas, 74, has run Angie's Restaurant in downtown Clearwater for more than 35 years. It's a local institution."
Creative Loafing Says... "A Downtown Clearwater staple since 1965. Serving breakfast all day and a hearty lunch selection, Angie's is a cut above the average standard diner fare."
If you're visiting or on vacation, stop in and check out our cool 1960's diner style service and be treated to one of our many delicious meals. By the way, we have great coffee and even better pancakes to start the day off right before exploring Clearwater and all that it has to offer. By the way, we serve Breakfast all day.
Angie's has been leaving people with full, happy bellies for more than 50 years. We hope to see you and to have the opportunity to serve your family our best.
Tampa Bay Breakfasts Blog Says... "This was a good, solid Tampa Bay Breakfast. Nice price, good food, nice people. Not a thing to complain about on this fine morning! We’re pleased to give Angie’s Grill a Tampa Bay Breakfast four pancake rating."
The Tampa Bay Times Says... "Angie's Restaurant sits on the corner of Cleveland Street and Myrtle Avenue, a quick walk from the post office. Angie and her husband, Gus, opened it 35 years ago. Their three kids helped them gut the former chicken shack, install wide windows, build wooden booths."
